How to Get More Google Reviews Quickly and Easily?

If you are reading this article it means you have a business that deserves more Google reviews. Google customer reviews have become capital important for your e-reputation and local SEO Google My Business or Google Business Profile.

If your competitors have more reviews and better ratings, Internet users will go to them instead.

Some fake negative reviews can also damage your reputation, but it is often difficult to remove a Google review(I offer some solutions in my article on the subject).

You need to have the evidence to be able to remove a review. I will give you the best tips on the market to harvest well and manage your reviews. I used these techniques to get almost 36 Google reviews in a short period.

How to Get More Google Reviews Effectively?

To get more Google customer reviews online, you must first have services and products that deserve to be recommended online. You must earn these reviews!

The tips and tricks mentioned will make it easier for you to acquire reviews, but you have to get used to using them. If you regularly collect reviews, you will have better local SEO and a better image on the web.

Some companies use automated tools like LocalRanker to automatically send review requests via SMS.

1. Ask Satisfied Customers Directly for Reviews

The first tip is to simply ask face to face, on a Facebook post or a poster in-store with a QR code for a review from your customers. This may seem very simple to you, but many establishments forget this step.

You have to dare and ask your customers to collect Google recommendations. It is generally better to ask for an opinion right after the service is over or when the customer compliments your products to improve your chances.

If your products or services have been appreciated, your customers or patients will not hesitate for a moment to give you a review and comment.

It is important to explain to your customers how important reviews are to your establishment.

This is also the same if you have a bad review. You should definitely try to contact him so he can remove his review on Google and put a positive review instead.

2. Create a Google Review Link (3 Tips)

This is a link that goes directly to the reviews and comments section of My Business of your business. Here is an example of my “Jamey Lee” listing which leads to my business’s reviews section.

This link will make it easier for you to acquire reviews. The goal is to make the process easier for your customers who previously had to search for your Google Business listing on the web. Now, just one click is all it takes to access the section to post a review.

There are 3  methods to get this famous Google review link:

The first method is the Google short name creation, this URL was set up for Google to increase the number of reviews on Google Business listings. To create this Google short name URL you need to:

  • Access your Google Business account

  • Select the “Info” or “Home” section

  • Click on “Add a short name”

  • Google will validate your request (this takes a few minutes)

The second method should be used only if you are unable to create a Google My Business short profile name. This involves using a tool to create a link to your Google reviews.

  • Access the toolPleper

  • Put the URL of your Google Maps file in “Link to Maps” to go to your file, click on the map and copy the URL

  • Create the link and copy it

The third is the easiest with LocalRanker which automatically generates a short link name with SMS campaigns. Just go to the Google Business Audit report in the “reviews” category.

You have access to our tool which automatically generates a short link name suitable for all mobiles and computers. You will also have access to the tool which sends your customers review requests.

And there you have it! You now have the 3 methods to get a Google review link for your establishment. This technique can increase the number of reviews obtained by 80%.

You can include this link in your email with free solutions send it to your customer database gradually or include the company signature. Be careful not to collect too many reviews at once because Google does not like that.

I use Localranker for emails, they have a free version that's good for testing and sending a few emails for reviews.

If you want to be effective, I advise you to consult some review email templates on Google for inspiration, such as those from Tripadvisor or Ubereats.

Once you have collected a lot of reviews with LocalRanker, you need to respond to them with a good frequency. That is why the platform allows you to have response templates for your reviews and tracking your progress.

3. Get Reviews With the in-store Tablet

Do you know about in-store loyalty programs where you are asked for your email using a tablet?

Why not use one so your customers can give you reviews about your business? The tablet can be a great way to collect reviews and comments about your establishment.

There are tablets placed directly in the store with customer satisfaction questionnaires available to everyone. Monoprix does not hesitate to use them to collect opinions.

Be careful, you have to know how to make a good customer satisfaction questionnaire to hopefully collect information from your customers and reviews.

There are apps available so your customers can give you on-the-spot, hot-button feedback.

4. Build an Acquisition Strategy

Before using the above tips you should have established with your teams a strategy and process to obtain reviews naturally. Obtaining reviews regularly can improve your reputation in local SEO.

You need to receive reviews frequently and go much further than your satisfaction surveys. To do this, you can look at the evolution of the frequency of your reviews with LocalRanker.

It is important to train your teams and raise their awareness of good review practices. Build a process to ask your customers for reviews whether by email, face-to-face, on social media or directly by SMS.

It's up to you to be creative and find the right time to ask your customers for a review depending on your industry.

For example, a locksmith can send the short link by SMS directly to his customer at the end of the service, while a real estate agent in his real estate communication and this can be done after visiting the property.

5. Use Posters to Ask for Opinions

A fairly simple but effective solution is the poster to get opinions.

The trick is to create a personalized poster to ask your customers on-site for a review of the service. If you are a restaurant you can offer a small card or flyer to encourage your customers to leave a review.

Don't forget to put this poster in a strategic place so that your customers think about it. It must be close to your exit.

If you don't have web design, that's okay. Google Business Profile has a free solution to create posters and other marketing materials for your offline visibility.

My favourite tool is Small Thanks with Google which allows you to create content such as posters, stickers, and social media posts from your Google Business listing.

To get started, visit Small Thanks with Google and enter your business name. If you already have a Google Business listing, you'll be able to create content with your reviews very quickly.

6. Use NFC

Use new NFC technology to collect more reviews. This is a great way to get your customers to leave you reviews.

Smartphones now have NFC technology for payments, but it is entirely possible to have more information thanks to NFC tags on cards.

It's a bit like the QR code method except that you just have to bring your phone closer to receive a notification and get more Google reviews.

How to Do Without a Google Account?

A Google account is required for the customer to review your business. If your customer does not have a Google account, they will be redirected to a page to create one.

If your customer does not have a Google account, you must invite them to create one and then directly post a review on your profile using the Google short link.

You may as well redirect him to another platform so he can leave his review. If you are a restaurant that seeks to develop your local marketing can also ask your customers to leave a review on Tripadvisor, Facebook, PagesJaunes, etc.

How to Improve Your Google Rating?

It's pretty easy to raise your rating when you have a few bad reviews. However, it takes longer to do if you have a little more than 50 reviews.

You need to collect reviews regularly either by your means or by using solutions to make it easier for you like LocalRanker's SMS Review Booster.

When you have positive reviews regularly you prevent yourself from this kind of situation. You will be proud to display them on your website using customer review widgets.

You need to aim for at least 4.2/5 to be in the overall average. Your rating will not go up if you do not collect reviews. However, a bad rating on Google can have a heavy impact on your business in the long term.
