Election frenzy!
The Election Commission of Telangana has issued important orders for the training of staff involved in the local body elections. With deadlines set for February 15, the state is gearing up for the ZPTC, MPTC, and Sarpanch elections. The frenzy surrounding the local body elections has already begun, with campaigning in full swing.

Big update regarding local body elections in Telangana! The Election Commission (EC) has issued crucial orders regarding staff training. The training process must be completed by February 15, as per the directives. Initially, elections for ZPTC (Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency), MPTC (Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency) will be conducted, followed by elections for Sarpanches. The notification for the elections is expected to be released in the last week of this month.
The frenzy over local body elections in Telangana has begun. The government is reportedly planning to hold the Sarpanch elections without further delay. Aspiring candidates for Sarpanch and MPTC positions in villages have already started their campaigns, making efforts to win over voters with various strategies.
In this context, the Election Commission has issued key updates for local body elections. The Commission has instructed that training for officials and staff involved in Gram Panchayat, Mandal, and District Panchayat elections must be completed by February 15.
Master trainers provided training to selected officials in Hyderabad on February 4-5. Following this, the Commission has directed that training for election staff across all districts must begin immediately and be completed by February 12. The deadline for completing training for presiding and assistant presiding officers has been set for February 15. The Commission also instructed that the process of selecting polling centers for Mandal and District Panchayat elections be completed by February 15.
Additionally, polling centers for Sarpanch elections have already been identified. The Election Commission has now directed arrangements to be made for the MPTC and ZPTC elections as well. Draft polling centers must be identified by February 11, and their list should be displayed in each Mandal Parishad's jurisdiction on the same day. Any objections should be received by February 13 and resolved by February 14. On that same day, the final list should be submitted to the district collectors. The draft list is to be finalized by February 10.
